Clouds
Time-lapse cloud photography is a crapshoot. Upon noticing a striking cloudscape, I race to find high ground and set up a tripod. Assuming the billow hasn’t already vanished, I point my camera, begin recording, and pray that this particular area of sky develops in a pleasing way for the unforeseeable future. It’s a lesson in patience, considering every minute of filming only produces 1-2 seconds of final video, and most of the time, that once photogenic sunset quickly crumbles to nothing, turns to rain, or is otherwise uninteresting played back at high speed. But sometimes, when wind conditions are just right, the heavens play a delicate dance, and the results are breathtaking. To make this video, I combed through dozens of hours of footage to showcase the best of the best.
